tupalev (2296), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jan 6, 2008 Bottle shared with Hogtown Harry and Blankboy, Blankboy’s bottle. Pitch black, big bubbly tan head, I’m not sure how it could look any better! Really nice aroma - strong sweet roast. Rich full body. Great taste - rich roast, lots of chocolate, lots of alcohol. Thick silky body. This is dead on style wise - great stuff, well done Trois Mousquetaires! TheCheeseMan (509), Saint Cloud, Florida, USA Mar 22, 2008 Blown away that I got to try this one, damn. Poured a deep, almost completely black color, the slightest gleaning of brown peeks through the edges. The aroma is a melange of roasted coffee, dried plums and figs, cocoa and even a slight wisp of smoke. The flavor is equally as impressive, with an additional acidic note that is the perfect foil to this beer. Simply one of the best Baltic porters I havetasted yet. GregClow (2319), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Feb 11, 2008 Draught at Le Saint-Bock, Montreal. Deep brown with a small tan head. Strong aroma of deep roasted malt, chocolate, dark fruit. Soft, creamy mouthfeel - none of the sticky, syrupy character often found in Baltics. Full-flavoured, sweet and roasty, with notes of coffee, charred malt, and freshly baked dark chocolate chip cookies. Drinks more like a 6% beer than a 9.8%. Excellent!
