375ml bottle. Pale yellow with a nice white head. Wheat, light coriander, hint of lemon zest, some malt, banana, bit of clove. Moderate carbonation, mild body, mild sweetness with a doughy nature and quite smooth, becomes dry on the finish with a nice combination of malt, wheat, banana and spice - very well balanced and clean finish. Would definitely drink this on a warm summer evening again, in fact may have to make sure to pick up some for next year.

Bonne blanche moyenne (321-180812)

Bottle 341 ml. Not much aroma and flavour. Texture is extremely thin and watery. Not interesting, even for an Hefeweizen.

on tap at bateau de nuit, qc. slightly hazy light yellow with a small white cap, little retention. very light bananas, spices and wheat. light to medium acidity - unpleasant in this beer style. almost aggressive carbonation, light body, short herbal-citrusy finish. meh.

341mL bottle poured a hazy blonde color with big white head which settled to some spots of lacing. Aroma of bananas and yeast. Taste is lightly sweet up front followed by some yeast and a lingering bitter finish which was not pleasing. With the exception of the finish this was quite a good wheat beer.

Fairly standard blanche, not bad but not very exciting either. Decent wheat tasting malt but not a lot of spice or subtleties in it. Seems a little bit over carbonated as well.

Pretty meek head when I pour it - its got to lose points for that. Cloudy bright yellow. Aromas: banana quite noticeably. Less graininess. To taste - much less banana, much less everything. First thing I get is some dull bitterness at the back of my mouth. Lively, fruity notes come through briefly in the middle, but the finish is a dull characterless sweetness.

Hazy yellow with a thick white frothy head with medium retention. Aroma is bread, malt herbal hops and a hint of spices. Flavour is raw cereals, wheat, yeast and herbs.
