2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle: Poured a blonde lager with a small white bubbly head with average retention. Taste is very refreshing with some semi-sweet malt and a subtle hops presence. Body is a bit thin and there is a definite lack of complexity. This is in my opinion a very average session beer overall.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle from the <a
href=http://www.ratebeer.com/Place/quebec/g target=blank>La Trappe à Fromage in Gatineau, Quebec. Light yellow in colour, quickly dissipating white head leaving behind some spotty lace. The aroma is crisp, grainy, light citrus with some minor grassy hops. The flavour was a bit tangy, crisp, some light grass and grains, some fruity sweetness. Small bitter mouthfeel, medium/light body, medium carbonation. Finishes with a light bitterness, lingering.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: OCT 28, 2007 Clear pale yellow with a very short-lived white head. Citrus nose. Taste is citrusy, crisp malts, herbal with some grassy hops. Tartness without bitterness. Hops character feel pilsner-ish. Short finish. Thin but not watery body. Its citrus/tart character makes it a ok refreshing summer beer but not much beyond that. If the real D’Artagnan musketeer was as good as this beer, I probably could defeat him in a duel with a cafeteria plastic knife.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
My first beer from Les Trois Mousquetaires. It has a light amber color with a fruity taste that leans towards apples. I tried it but I will not have it again.

341 ml bottle. bubbly beer. Nice foamy head that disapeared within 5 mins. Flowers & fruity aroma. It taste like chemicals or preservatives. Disapointing !

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle (341ml). via trade with turg. Slightly hazy bubbly gold with a bright white foamy head, decent retention. Very dry grassy aroma with some jangly-harsh sweet toast malt, surprisingly fresh dry herbal hops though.
Taste is ... not bad! Again with the pungent, dry, herbal hops, dry, grainy, a little honeyish malt - only a little tang in the longish, funky-bitter finish knocks my rating down. Mouthfeel is astringent, dry, decently carbonated - remember this isn’t a pale lager, it’s a helles - better than it’s made out to be here, imho.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Again, a really gimmicky beer. Nothing very tastey or original about this one. My roommate and I mostly just drank them to get drunk in our hotel in Montreal.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JUN 8, 2010 Bottled:
poured a hazey honey-gold color. Active carbonation and a modest cap that laces well enough.
Aromas of fresh milled toasty malts and a slight wisp of cider and herbs.
Peppery mouth feel medium light bodied. Malty up front then a floral acidic discernment from yeast and hops, clean fresh finish slight after taste of bread. A very decent pislsner in the German style...probably will be over-looked or buried in the flood of pilsners on the market... too bad, this is a good all malt rendition of the style.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Amber, almost orange color, fizzy appearance, apricot aroma, very sweet flavor, soft carbonation. Not bad, but to sweet to drink more than one.
