Broue_Neault (157), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Dec 22, 2004 Pale yellow beer with a frothy white head. Hoppy aroma, malty taste. Some bitterness. Nothing exceptional.
Grassy, straw like aromas, with some grains. Wattery mouthfeel, and some slight malt in the flavour, along with more grainy, grassy notes. A passable lager. sstackho (249), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 30, 2008 Updated: Jul 1, 200812oz bottle purchased as a mixed 6-pack from Jovi in Gatineau. Pours a pale clear gold with decent head. Reasonable malty aroma. Flavour is relatively straightforward, though not too bad for what it is. Decent earthy maltiness with a light hop profile. Not a bad lager. Re-rated down a notch after a second bottle that didn’t impress.
GregClow (2332), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Apr 14, 2008 Bottle from trip to Montreal. Pale yellow-gold with a fairly large white head. Aroma of light toasted malt, faint herbal hops, and a slight corn character. Medium body. Flavour os toasted grain, light hops, and again a faint corn/veggie character. Not awful, but pretty M.O.R. blankboy (2570), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Dec 4, 2007 Bottle. Pours a clear pale gold with lots of bubbles and an average size foamy white head. Aroma of corn, vegetables, grain, caramel malt and light hops -- not encouraging. Flavour’s a bit better, not as vegetal, with caramel malt, grain and light hops. Mild bitter finish. Medium bodied, quite carbonated. Trois Mousquetaires make some great beer but this isn’t one of them, not something I’d have again.
