On tap at Mondial de la bière Montréal 2015. An unclear brown beer with a dark beige head. There’s a light roasted touch in the aroma, with oak and some berries. Hints of vanilla too. It’s very smooth on the palate, semi-tart and medium bodied, with the alcohol giving just a slight warmth in the mouth. Roasted malt notes, vanilla, oak and berries melting together in the flavor, lasting for a good while. A really fine one, just as good as some of the best Belgian specimen. 150611

750ml bottle shared with god... Ok I really wanted to drink something strong since it might help my sore throat or at least let me focus on something else. Aroma: huge amount of funky cherries, oaky, maybe even a tiny bit of orange zest (first time I detect that in that beer). App: dark burgundy, huge off white, no retention. Taste and palate: full bodied, fruity, medium sweetness combined with medium acidity finish. Carbonation is medium high. From my souvenir it wasn’t that carbonated. Overall: still so good. Time gave it a more oaky, woody, aroma and I like it quite a lot. That’s one of those beer that I never get tired of drinking.

Wow what a gem this is... Thanks to cfrancis for this one! Pours a clear black with a bubvly/fizzy dark brown head. Aroma of lactic, tart cherries, dark dried fruits, roasted malts, light chocolate and some funk... Taste is the same with a smooth sourness and light alcohol warming on the finish. Great winter treat!

Couleur noire mince col beige. A: cerises sauvages, barriques, brett. G: dominé par le vieillissement en barrique, brett. Très peu de cerises et d’acidité. Palais un peu faible. Malgré tout c’est un autre produit d’exception de LTM...

Pours hazy reddish brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, dark fruits, funk, tartness and cherries. Taste is medium sweet, light bitter and lihgt sour with a long malty, dark fruity, berry and sour finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

On tap at Festibiere. Pour is the colour of murky iced tea. Nose is lots of dark cherries, oak, pungent but inviting vinous notes (a fine line to me), earth and leather from the brett, rich brown sugar and toasted grain and nuts. Slightly sweet, perfectly tart and sour, woody and earthy, and lots of real, delicious, tart cherry taste. Medium bodied, dry finish. Top shelf.

Dixieme 10% Bottle shared by Jean-Yves. A reddish-brown pour with a fast dissipating brown head. A bit of sweet cherry coke with tart musty sourness. The beer is medium bodied with an effervescent carbonation. The taste is sweet molasses, tart cherry, oak, a bit of burnt sugary biscuit. Great stuff.

Bottle: Poured a clear dark burgundy color ale with a medium size brown foamy head with OK retention and light lacing notes. Aroma of intense kriek notes with some oak notes and light funky ester is pretty much perfect for style. Taste is dominated by nice kriek notes with a medium level of tartness and some oak. Residual sugar level is quite low with almost no acidity. Body is about average with good carbonation. My expectations were quite high but this is possibly one of the best sour/wild ale I‘ve tasted in my life.
