tupalev (2337), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jan 6, 2008 Bottle shared with Hogtown Harry and Blankboy, Blankboy’s bottle. Pitch black, big bubbly tan head, I’m not sure how it could look any better! Really nice aroma - strong sweet roast. Rich full body. Great taste - rich roast, lots of chocolate, lots of alcohol. Thick silky body. This is dead on style wise - great stuff, well done Trois Mousquetaires! SuzyGreenberg (1067), Seattle, Washington, USA Sep 12, 2008 750 ml bottle @ liquid sunshine tasting - thanks to after4ever for this gem; easily one of my favs from the night; dark brown, flat tan head; aromas of rich chocolate; smooth, roasty and rich, nothing off putting in any way as many baltics can be in that stale sense; thick, rich body; tons of chocolate; wow, just a kick ass baltic a not like any i’ve had before except for perhaps the one from cascade; very rich and just a delight; thanks tom!! TheCheeseMan (515), Saint Cloud, Florida, USA Mar 22, 2008 Blown away that I got to try this one, damn. Poured a deep, almost completely black color, the slightest gleaning of brown peeks through the edges. The aroma is a melange of roasted coffee, dried plums and figs, cocoa and even a slight wisp of smoke. The flavor is equally as impressive, with an additional acidic note that is the perfect foil to this beer. Simply one of the best Baltic porters I havetasted yet. WeeHeavySD (2025), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA Oct 15, 2008 Via trade with glougoburp. Pours big and black with 3 fingers of a light brown tan foamy goodness. The nose is sweet and chocolaty with big roasty malts. Taste is sweet and chocolaty this is excellent, its very big and very malty, with a lot of bitterness. This is exactly what a Baltic porter should be huge in a lot of ways and yet slightly restrained as to not be so boozy.
