4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Almost pitch black with a medium beige head. The head vanishes quite quickly. The aroma is deep chocolate and toffee with dark fruits. Flavor does even further with strong dark fruits and well balanced smoke. It’s truly delicious although after drinking the whole bottle it became cloying sweet. No biggie at all. It’s one of the best Baltic Porters I had. Great beer.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Black, quick fading tan top. Sweet dark soft roasty, some milkyness, sweet licorice on nose. Full bodied, but real easy, creamy smooth texture. Licorice, sweet roast, chocolate. Really nice, dangeroud smooth easily drunk. Super passive but really flavourful. Should say a sipper, but its just so easy, palatable that a pint would go easy.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a deep black topped by about a finger of rough creamy tanned head showing very good retention and lacing properties. The nose is cherries, dark chocolate, touch of smoke and earthy hops. The taste kicks off with the smoke and chocolate, but as you drink, it ends up shifting to a very sweet cherry. The brew is liquorish and very satisfying. It offers a long sweet and earthy finish I found really enjoyable. Insane beer for the cellar. Cheers!

Loads of caramel, loads of malt, some light pepperiness. Dark, reddish brown with a thin, light tan head. Taste is light sourness, lots of caramel, and roasted malt.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from the LCBO. Black pour with burgundy highlights under a small khaki head that fades quickly. Nose is dark fruit, chocolate malts, vanilla, coffee and molasses along with a hint of smoke. Medium sweet start with an accompanying bitterness and more evidence of smoke. Medium sticky mouth with soft carbonation. Sweeter than I expected but with a smokiness and some bitter and tart components to keep it balanced. A nice leisurely sipper.
