COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Unlike typical porters, our Baltic Porter is brewed in the traditional style as a bottom-fermenting lager. The result is a luxuriously round, but robust, black beer with a mild bitterness. A special blend of roasted malts provides this porter with flavors and aromas of chocolate and coffee, and you’ll enjoy it’s subtle hints of cherry-smoked malt.

Bottle - thanks Paul! Almost clear dark brown beer, good pale tan head. Light palate, softish. Super mild tangy dark malts. Mellow chocolate, somewhere between dark and milk. Trace of coffee. Finishes quite sweet and tangy. Slightly left field but good.

Big-ass bottle (like a plus sized bomber) Pours an opaque, almost jet-black with a thin, espresso colored head that hung around for a while. Nose is all coffee, chocolate, dark roasted barley, dried fruit and malts. Mouth is oily and full-bodied, bittersweet and lightly smoky, with coffee, plums and dates up front, then some bakers chocolate, and a roasty and ever-so-slightly sooty bitter finish. I don’t know what Althos, Aramis & Porthos would say, but I’m going with Je suis très impressionné!

Bottle shared at Bruce’s, London - many thanks to Paul. Pours clear, dark brown with a fine, beige cream head. Sugary dark malts in the nose, rich bread, some chocolate syrup. Huge sweet flavor, loads of sugary malts, brown sugar, brown bread, light smoke, more chocolate syrup. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warm finish, pretty syrupy, some dark leaves, sweet bread, chocolate. Nice, if a bit sugary.

I enjoyed this despite Ernestos hatred. Quite smooth and lactose sweetness. Milk chocolate and dark fruits with a touch of roast. Very easy drinking with a very slight chemical sweetness that kept it from the 4s.

Refrigerated 75 cl brown bottle caged and corked poured into a snifter. Pours black with light beige head. A little lacing, thick body, low carbonation, and light balsamic. Taste is roasted malt, some balsamic vinegar.

Poured from a 750 ml bottle. Pours a darker brown with a khaki colored head of foam. Aroma is chocolate and salty. Taste is sweet and a little salty with some chocolate and plum fruity notes. Interesting at least.

Got a lot of paint aroma and chemicals in the flavors and aroma. Thin and boozy and paint, sadly not a good combo

Odeur de metal mais heureusement le gout ne l’est pas du tout. Le mouthfeel est tres soyeux voir de lait. Gout sucré et une certaine pesanteur du a l’alcool. Une bonne biere mais je trouve que n’est pas assez "drinkable"
