Unlike typical porters, our Baltic Porter is brewed in the traditional style as a bottom-fermenting lager. The result is a luxuriously round, but robust, black beer with a mild bitterness. A special blend of roasted malts provides this porter with flavors and aromas of chocolate and coffee, and youíll enjoy itís subtle hints of cherry-smoked malt.

Bottle thanks to Dany. Pours black. Tan head. Nose/taste of mocha pie, deep roasted chocolate, vanilla and roast coffee. Medium body. Sweet and sticky mouth feel. Lots of cocoa in finish.

Pours black with deep red and brown glimpsed when held up to the light. Large and lively, but tight head. Perfectly roasted malts in the taste, nothing bitter or burnt. Leaves a nice aftertaste too. Its hard not to give this top marks in every category. Great great porter.

Pours black with a big mocha head. Aroma is of rich chocolate scents and coffee along with some roasted grain malts and a little liquorice. Taste is somewhat overly sweet with not much bitterness at all really. Full body, thick on the palate and soft carbonation. Overall a nice, maybe overpowering porter.

Previously not a huge porter fan, but this is fantastic! 750ml bottle with champagne cork. Low carbonation, laces nicely. Powerful aroma and a big mouthfeel. The taste got better as it got warmer (or is that just as the bottle got emptier?) Chocolate was the dominant flavour, with toffee, toast, caramel, liquorice and vanilla all getting a look in too. I got 3 more bottles to put away, but itís hard to leave them alone.

750 ml bottle. Cork was hard to get off. Poured hazy dark brown with small light tan head. Very clean aroma of dark malts, toast and roast. Taste is very similar with a very smooth clean finish. Very well done.

Very dark brown, near black pour, dark tan head. Big aroma on this, big enough that I smelled it four feet away while slicing jalapenos. Sweet licorice, coffee, chocolate, caramel, loads of roasty char. This is very sweet tasting, but has enough of a roasty char and bitterness as it finishes to make it still very enjoyable. Loaded chocolate, vanilla, and licorice. Awesome, and a perfect beer for celebrating.

Bottle, 2010 version. Black with a tan head that fades to a coat but laces well. Aroma of dark sugars, chocolate, licorice, grass. Slightly syrupy mouthfeel. Sweet with burnt sugars, licorice, vanilla, chocolate, some grassy and herbal hop bitterness. Holds the alcohol pretty well - itís not fumey and thereís no finishing burn - although itís rich and warming. The big sweetness is kept under some semblance of control by the bitterness, but thereís no great depth to the black malts. Good.

Bottle and Tap. Tap preffered. Fantastic brew. Silky smooth and lingering. Pours a deep dark rich brown (mostly black) with a small quickly falling brown head. Aroma of chocolate, molasses, dark sweet fruits and a dash of coffee. Rich, smooth and delish.
