750ml bottle. Clear reddish copper body, medium to small beige head, average retention, poor lacing. Aroma of yeast, herbal hops, bitter herbs, autumn leaves, ginger. Sweet taste: tons of caramel malts, ginger, herb liquor, brown sugar, cinnamon cookies, a touch of booze. Lovely.

Dark amber/ ruby pour, with a medium off white head. Incredibly earthy aroma. Loads of sweet, brown sugar malts, with alot of spices, and earthy ginger. The finish is light to medium bitter with an intense ginger earthiness, and strong spicy finish. It’s not a spice bomb, but it’s close. Too earthy I find though.....

2014 Bottle from Halles St-Jean. Aroma: cherries, spices. App: clear dark copper with a tint of red. Small white head. Full body, medium-high sweetness, average carbonation, light dry finish. Overall: good but a tad too sweet, candy for me.

I am a guy who likes his over-the-top ol’ timey, horse-drawn sleigh, Jack Frost nipping at your nose, tree decorating revelry, vintage Christmastime charms. This beer is that feeling a bottle. With a crystal clear reddish copper body and an off white lacing-machine on top, bold whiffs of fresh cut pine, oranges baked with cloves, spiced cider, dark fruitcake, boozy eggnog and gingerbread cookies, who could ask for more? Although some booze is present (you’d be a fool to think that at 11.3% it wouldn’t be), it takes a backseat to the prominent Old World Christmas flavours that are blended seamlessly. A light syrupy, mid bodied texture mingles with mid carbonation for a warming and joyful sipper, embracing the last vestiges of the Yuletide as a year anew unfolds.

Pours a hazy deep amber colour with a warm foamy cap, average stay and some decent wavy thin-creamy lace. The taste is good, but pretty sweet overall. Great aromas of cinnamon, ginger and other spices. Spices in the flavours with the very sweet malts. A little too sweet. Love the spices, but wish the mouthfeel was a little less syrupy and sweet.

Pour is a perfect deep reddish copper with a barely off white head and superb lacing. Aroma is a mix of Christmas tree and gingerbread. Taste is sweet, but with that well rounded Christmas experience. Feel is full, yet refreshing and a little creamy. Really an interesting beer.

Pours a copper Reddish color with a pretty nice white head. Nose is mostly cloves with some pine and also some cinnamon and ginger (Gingerbread). Sweet on the palate and the alcohol lingers in a little. You also get a lot of the spices. Pretty well made beer I like it!

Pours clear deep amber with a one finger of light tan head diminishing gradually to a thin ring, no lacing. (4/5) Nose is strongly spicy ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla, cloves, medicinal hops. (8/10) Taste is moderately strong sweet, mild bitter. (8/10) Medium to full body, moderate carbonation, mildly bitter warming finish. (4/5) I like it. It’s so heavily spiced that it actually reminds me of ginger beer - but I like ginger beer! The ABV is very well-integrated (or perhaps masked by the spice) to the point that this is a seriously dangerous tipple. I’ve yet to have an LTM brew I didn’t like, and this is no exception. I’d go so far as to say that this could well be the best lager I’ve ever had. (16/20)
