This is an unusual and delicious brew. Nose is a hit of west coast hops, citrusy and floral, mixed with sweet malt and grainy notes. Taste is sweet an spicy malt, sweet fruit, grapes, caramel, candied sugar, citrus tartness. I’ve never tasted a beer like this. Reminiscent of an imperial IPA, but with loads of sweet malt. Also surprised it maintained it’s hop presence as this bottle is over a year old. Very sweet and a good bottle to share. Would love to try fresh. Well done!

750 ml bottle from Broue Ha Ha, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass. Cloudy copper with a full light tan head. Quite hoppy, peppery and resinous, brown and burnt sugar, grapefruit peel, sort of floral, very sweet and big. Medium-full body with moderate carbonation. Very peppery with a cruciferous character...sulphur, radishes, sweet brown sugar malt, a bit odd; sweet with fairly good bitterness, a spicy alcohol now and a long, peppery, sweet finish. Radishes...honestly. What’s yeast about??

Red and slightly hazy, tiny white head. The aroma is sweet, with flowers, honey, nuts. The taste is nutty, extremely sweet, the finish is crazy sweet.

Anaranjada oscura casi sin espuma. Aroma licórico, algo herbal y frutal. En boca buen cuerpo y final bastante amargo. Sabrosa realmente con un tono licórico, base acaramelada y toques verbales. Predominio dulce. Se disfruta cada trago.

750 ml bottle from LCBO in Toronto/Canada. Overall a mind-blowing barley wine for me. Pours a light brown, copper, honey yellow hazy/cloudy color. Stable off white head. Aroma of malt, a bit white wine, but especially sorb tree unripe fruit, bitter hops, dark bitter fruits, light caramel sweetness, sauerkraut. Taste mirrors the aroma. Extra dry bitter hops sour finish. Mind-blowing!

750ml bottle. 10/2014. Pours a clear orange/caramel with a one finger, off whore head that thins to a thick film. Aroma has big, sweet notes of citrus, pine, resin, caramel, and bread. Taste is sweet but balanced. Caramel, bread, resin, pine, citrus, and a sugary, bitter ending. Medium-full body with a medium carbonation. Syrupy in the mouth with a dry finish. Overall a big, sweet, bitter, hoppy barley wine.

The beer pours a rusty copper colour, hazy, with a long lasting rocky lighjt tan coloured cap. The aroma is dark fruit, caramel, and citrus. The mouthfeel is medium-full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is caramel and citrus, and not very well balanced

750ml bottle, gift from friend. Thanks friend. This beer is good, but not good as I thought would be. Smell is caramel and exotic fruits like Hawaii, but also soap, like Mom when I used to curse, or shitty Chiclets gum. Taste less soap, lots of sweet and bitter end, maybe too much bitter end. Overall good but weird barley wine, would like to try more fresh. Sweet Christ I’m tired.

Ölföreningen 2015. Smak och doft av tallbarr, honung, blommor, viol, mandelmassa, nektar. Oljig, rund och len, stor sötma, fin beska. Gott!
