Pours a nice size foamy and creamy head and has a hazy amber appearance. Lacing is a bit weak. Aromas are quite malty and has a bit of earthy hops. Flavours have a bit of caramel and toffee in the mix but there’s mainly cereal malts at the forefront. Mouthfeel has a bit of an astringent and tingling feel. Not too bad. Seems like a bit of saltiness in there, a bit odd. Not too bad but not the oktoberfest kinda beer I would drink for an extended part of time. After this 750ml bottle, I’ve had plenty.

750ml bottle. Hazy copper with a foamy beige head. Flavors are bread toasted cereals, biscuit caramel, dried fruits and earth with nutty and herbal notes. Cloying sweetness, a bit syrupy/medicinal. Medium body, good carbonation, oily texture.

Not bad. I have to say that I am not particularly a fan of this style. Nice hoopy aspect is well balanced with the malts.

Dunkler, würzig hopfiger Antrunk mit karamelligem Aroma. Mild herb, das Malz wird intensiver und steigt parallel zur Herbe. Lang anhaltender Nachgeschmack, mild bitter, etwas fruchtig. 11/12/11/11/9/11

Bottle. Pours unclear golden in color with a whitish head. Malty, quite fresh bready notes actually, some sweetness and hints of grassy bitterness in aroma. Bit of grassy bitterness in taste too, feels quite soft though, which is nice. A refreshing beer for this occassion.

Clear copper pour with lots of pillowy head that leaves a little lace. Lots of bready notes with some roasted character, light toffee. There’s something floral about this as well. Mostly the same on the palate. Finishes slightly sweet with a good malt flavour. Impressive for the style.

Prost! I could have this beer everyday, I see why they brew it specifically for getting thrashed at a beer festival, it’s remarkably drinkable. Nothing fancy but super tasty and refreshing. Hazy brown orange with a thin, crisp head. Notes of caramel, burnt toffee, toasted malts and cereal smack the sniffer. Very tiny hop smell and flavour, a smooth and dry finish to boot. Should be drinking this from a boot actually. Germans sure make Lagers not suck. Even though this is Quebecois. But y’know. Vive le Quebec Li-biere!

Pours a clear medium coppery amber with one fingers of loose beige head diminishing rapidly to a thin skim, no lacing. Nose is caramel malt, honey, herbal and floral hops. Taste is caramel and bready malt, with a little spice and a slight nuttiness. Light to medium body, somewhat slick, sustained prickly carbonation, and a mildly bitter (20 IBU) finish. Decently drinkable but for it being quite sweet and malty - it’s almost a honey brown. (I don’t think I could handle more than one of these.) Not bad, certainly, and very appropriate for cooler weather - but I have to admit I’m continuing to consistently rank lagers toward the lower end of my personal preference. In this case, I think I’d be happier with a little more robustness and spice, and a little less caramel malt.

Great looking brown amber, with a fading head. Nice and malty, caramel, almost maple. Taste is bitter, but still malty.pretty tasty. Finish is a little dry. Good beer overall.
