COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Google Translation: The "Keg" was born from the merger of a wholly-eau-de-vie refined cider and ice cider Domaine Lafrance. Aged in oak, this aperitif cider gives off aromas pronounced wood and dried fruit, paired with a sweet caramel flavor. Thoroughness and rigor of the producer in each of the manufacturing steps to ensure "Keg" exceptional quality and unique taste.

Pours a clear dark golden with long legs. Nose is of cooked apples and brown sugar. Taste is moderately sweet and moderately acidic, of apples and brown sugar. Light oak. Almost no signs of the alcohol content. Body is full and liquorous, rich and sticky. Overall a really nice ice cider, a perfect after supper sip

Sample (2 oz) from bottle. Thanks JulienHuxley!

Appearance: Deep golden-copper with massive alcohol legs.

Aroma: Quite boozy with the oak features being dominants, baked and caramelized apples, earthy notes, berries and light spiciness.

Taste: Quite boozy as well, but it’s less overpowering and more balanced than the aroma. The sweetness help to balance the alcohol. There’s an important oak presence, moderate spiciness, caramelized apples and mild acidity.

Palate: Full bodied. Liquorous mouthfeel. Oaky and warming finish. Lingering mouth coating sweetness.

Overall: It’s really boozy (too much for my liking), but isn’t completely out of balance and it’s definitely quite tasty. Fine sipper.

2 oz sample from bottle. Very bright deep orange copper pour, crystal clear with nice legs. Aroma is enticing, rich mellow ice cider aromas, caramelized apple, baked apple pie, cinnamon, with light cognac like alcohol aromas. Taste is rich, tons of baked apple, ever so slight apple tartness with a mouthcoating, lingering alcohol warmth that never burns but is always felt. Palate is really rich and warming. A bit too boozy, but still very nice.

Bottle, saved for me by my parents, and shared with them and friends. Deep golden, still, with medium to high viscosity. Quite a juicy apple aroma and flavour profile, light caramel, light oak, slightly medicinal finish. No sign if the 15+%!

pours like medium dark golden syrup, nice legs when swirling. apple pie, juicy almost overripened apples, light and well integrated woodsy notes, hint of vanilla and maple syrup, sweetness, in a cloying manner yet it is appreciated for this quality - brown sugared apples; fire cider possibly. flat carbonation, medium to full body - oily and thick, hint of lightly tart apples for a sweet fruity-woodsy finish. nicely crafted/ possibly blended. tasty and never overdone barreling.
