(Rating #4172)

Very pale pour, no head. Aroma is apples and some alcohol. Mouthfeel is perfect. Flavour is quite sweet, one notch higher and its iced territory. Touch of booze, dry tart finish.

Bottle from the cidery. Pours a clear very light straw yellow. Very vinous, long apples, a beautiful crisp sweetness, very fresh. Sweet and smooth, warm apple flesh turns cool and clean, long sweetness. Being still this hints at ice cider, but lacks the bigger contrast of sweetness and acid, instead displaying a soft alcoholic warmth and lots of sweet apple. Very slow developing acid on the finish that dissipates quickly. Rather lovely stuff.

June 18, 2010. 750ml bottle shared by blankboy with me, gregclow, jerc & mabel. Extremely pale yellow, a bit bubbly, but no head at all. Watery aroma, but absolutely purely of apple - no sweetness, no white wine character, barely any detectable alcohol - just APPLE. The taste followed, but it seemed a bit papery, perhaps oxidized? Thin, watery mouthfeel, only lightly acidic, acceptable carbonation - my only complaint is it seemed a bit thin and watery.

My bottle [750ml] shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, jerc & mabel. 2008 vintage. Pours a clear, very pale colour -- almost looks like water. Aroma: Wow, lots of apple in that aroma, mainly Macintosh, along with some spices -- smells very nice. Flavour has apples galore and is oh so easy to drink, the alcohol is totally hidden. It’s a touch watery but still tastes great. Light to medium bodied. Fantastic stuff.

[2910-20100618] 750mL bottle. Sweet Macintosh apple juice aroma. Clear, pale clear white body with no head. Apple juice flavour has a hint of alcohol to it. Light-medium body. Wow the apples...

2010-06-18. Very pale yellow body, headless. Fruity apple aroma, light alcohol. Flavour is similar, pleasant modest fruity apple, light alcohol is very restrained considering the strength. Fruit lingers, with a bit of tart apple coming out as it warms. up. Very drinkable. Enjoyable. Bottle shared by Blankboy

UPDATED: FEB 29, 2004 (750ml bottle) Light apple juice color. All in all, fairly good for a still cider. Not flat nor watery. Initially sweet with a slight alcohol flavour; this badboy turns on a dime and dishes out a dry... then tart finish. Licking the acidic remnants on one's lips causes one's tongue to swell...
