Leute Bok ale is a dark red heavy beer, top fermented and refermented in the bottle. The aroma and taste is unique and striking, not too sweet, but full and smooth on the tongue.

Mooie roodbruine kleur met een volle lichtbruine kraag. Ruikt herfstfruit, vanille. Smaakt vanille, fruit.

Bottle 33cl. Ruby coloured with a big fluffy off white head that fades very slowly. Aroma is not very easy to pinpoint. Not very sweet, raisins is what I can recognize best. The taste is quite good. Some bitterness and sourness stride for your attention. Not bad.

Pours a large frothy off whitebhead that slowly diminishes. Body is clear red brown with sparkles visible. Aroma contains raisin, fig, caramel, cinnamon, toasted malts, citrus fruits, grape, cola and some other spices. Flavor is light acidic, then light acidic and light sweet, followed by sweet and finishing in light bitter. Body is medium with creamy texture and soft carbonation. A fine bockbeer, not overly sweet like many.

330ml bottle from the LCBO. Dark brown, with a subtle straw tint as well, huge creamy head on it.. On the nose there is alcohol, fig, an earthiness to it, tropical fruit, a little spiciness, Medium bodied with a nice carbonation to it. The finish is not very hop-based, a lot of dark fruit and earthiness, reminiscent of a dubbel on the finish.

lesifflebiere (1353) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 16, 2014

Bottle @ The One, Brugge. Dark red with a thick frothy head. Comes in a glass without a round base and requires its own wooden eggcup hole to keep it upright. Blonde in style with a recognisable nose that includes a small darker fruit sweetness, but not too much. Has a similar taste.

Pours a clear dark red with a medium tan head. Aroma is of sugar, floral, light esters, and plums. Tastes of light gum, sugar, banana, caramel, and plums. This beer felt like it could be quite sessionable despite what it is. It just had such a refreshing fruity taste.

0.33L bottle. Pours hazy red-brown with a big tan head. Aromas are bready malt, caramel and roasty. Flavor is mild sweet, with some candi sugar / toffee and bready malt, but quickly going to an herby hop and roasted malt bitterness. Medium body with a thinnish mouthfeel and active carbonation. Overall, a decent bok beer. Good balance of malt to bitterness, but nothing special. Cool glass, though!
