Leute Bok ale is a dark red heavy beer, top fermented and refermented in the bottle. The aroma and taste is unique and striking, not too sweet, but full and smooth on the tongue.

From tap. Pours clear brownish. Aroma is burnt, red fruits, caramel and some apple. Taste is light sweet and medium bitter. Very carbonated. Bit weird bock. Taste is not unpleasant but I don’t know if that’s because it’s really fizzy. Thin mouthfeel.

Aroma: Burnt apple jam Appearance: Dark red, nice lacing from foam Taste: Same apple jam as in aroma, sweetness is nicely balanced by hop bitterness, some sourness at first. Dark ryemalt bread taste lingers for a long time. Palate: Very full, creamy, silky mouthfeel. Overall: Liquid bread! Very fullfilling and satisfying in cold autum night. Tastes more as belgian dubble than bock.

Pours a dark, slight red, brown with a thick, thick, fine light brown head. Aroma of malt, bit of smoke, toast, alcohol, raisins, burnt caramel, vanilla. Smooth as silk carbonation. Smooth bitter and sweet. Really solid. I really like this one. Completely blind purchase that surprised me.

Shared a 33cl from La Cave à Bière de St Leo. Dark brown in colour with a nice brownish and persistent head. Aroma is hoppy with some light coffee notes. Medium to high carbonation with a full body. Flavour is quite neutral with a bitter end.

A fruit forward nose. Pours a cloudy ruby brown with an thin mostly lasting ivory head and spotty lacing. The pallet is similar to the aroma, dark fruit, apples, malts, with hints of caramel and grain. Medium body and medium softly fizzy carbonation. Overall, quite drinkable - slightly sweet but not in the way sweet. Refreshing.

Bottle shared by GT. Murky dark amber pour with a big khaki head. Nose is cardboard, prune juice, fig, and caramel. Cloyingly sweet and terribly oxidized. It doesn’t taste any better. The flavor is sugar, cardboard, caramel, and prune juice. Some raisin, apple juice, and fig.

750mL c&c thanks to MrCovington. Pours a completely murky mud color with diminishing tan fizz. Nose is papery, red apple, oxidized and clearly old. Taste is red apple skin tannic. Dusty, red apple mealy body. Ick.
