3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a dark, slight red, brown with a thick, thick, fine light brown head. Aroma of malt, bit of smoke, toast, alcohol, raisins, burnt caramel, vanilla. Smooth as silk carbonation. Smooth bitter and sweet. Really solid. I really like this one. Completely blind purchase that surprised me.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 8/20
A fruit forward nose. Pours a cloudy ruby brown with an thin mostly lasting ivory head and spotty lacing. The pallet is similar to the aroma, dark fruit, apples, malts, with hints of caramel and grain. Medium body and medium softly fizzy carbonation. Overall, quite drinkable - slightly sweet but not in the way sweet. Refreshing.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle, refrigerated for about 2 years or so. Dense, letting only a sliver of light through, with a hue of dark nutty brownish amber. Thin bubbly ring head. Nose is wonderful with notes of pecan, earthy toffee biscuit, and bock breadiness. Flavor is exceptionally smooth and complex from the first hit on the palate to the aftertaste. Starts nutty and earthy with nice toffee malt and dark raisin, melding into a biscuity and bready boozy middle, more dark fruit tones like dates and acai, finishing with a dark malty bock bready tone with warm booze esters, pecans, dates, raisins, a belgian dustiness, and a bit more dark sweet bread. Wow-wee.

Bottle shared with McTapps. Typical BSA with some caramel, bit sweetness, bit metallic and some aromas of nuts in. Drinkable, easy to go, warming but not sensational in any way. Nice.
