Leute Bok ale is a dark red heavy beer, top fermented and refermented in the bottle. The aroma and taste is unique and striking, not too sweet, but full and smooth on the tongue.

Final bottle from my six pack sampler is beautiful in the glass: a deep ruby mahogany starburst with a serious one finger cap that lasts most of the drink. It’s a bit rough around the edges, with sharp jabs of sugar & malty goodness. Not a lot of clarity, like some of the other bottles in the sampler.

Keg at Cafe Gollem. Pours deep brown, light toffee, quite chocolatey as it warms.

A fine lil’ Belgian Strong if I may say so. Beautiful dark crimson, a head of ivory and aromas of brown bread, brown sugar, dark candied cherries, winter spices, subtle herbal hops and yeast. The taste is a sweet but well-blended culmination of the nose. Smoothness in the body and mellow carbonation make it a pleasurable sipper on a cold Winter’s day.

Very complex aroma, ranging from bread, through pears to alcohol and bock-like nuts. Taste is much less rich with apparent alcoholic aftertaste. Overall, very interesting beer.

Mooie roodbruine kleur met een volle lichtbruine kraag. Ruikt herfstfruit, vanille. Smaakt vanille, fruit.

Bottle 33cl. Ruby coloured with a big fluffy off white head that fades very slowly. Aroma is not very easy to pinpoint. Not very sweet, raisins is what I can recognize best. The taste is quite good. Some bitterness and sourness stride for your attention. Not bad.

Pours a large frothy off whitebhead that slowly diminishes. Body is clear red brown with sparkles visible. Aroma contains raisin, fig, caramel, cinnamon, toasted malts, citrus fruits, grape, cola and some other spices. Flavor is light acidic, then light acidic and light sweet, followed by sweet and finishing in light bitter. Body is medium with creamy texture and soft carbonation. A fine bockbeer, not overly sweet like many.

330ml bottle from the LCBO. Dark brown, with a subtle straw tint as well, huge creamy head on it.. On the nose there is alcohol, fig, an earthiness to it, tropical fruit, a little spiciness, Medium bodied with a nice carbonation to it. The finish is not very hop-based, a lot of dark fruit and earthiness, reminiscent of a dubbel on the finish.

large creamy frothy offwhite head. good lacing. fully lasting. sparkling flat thick dark brown body. aroma: light malty, caramel, milk chocolate, toffee and butter. if: moderate sweet. ff: moderate sweet very light bitter; average duration. palate: medium full body, oily texture, lively carbonaton, metallic light alcoholic finish. Dulcor leitoso, caramelado, enjoativo. Ligeira acidez aparece quando a cerveja esquenta, diminuindo um pouco mais sua qualidade.30 s
