COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lewis Osterweis Hard Ginger Beer is a wheat beer with a ginger bite. The body is lighter than a normal wheat beer, but the sweetness plays well with the tartness and spicy snap of the ginger.

Bottle - fair size foamy head, pale straw color, definite good size spicy ginger aroma and flavor, balanced well with a sweet wheat backbone, a little different but good ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Had at 2014 Joplin Ozarks Beerfest. Sharp ginger. Boozy. Spicy. Different; not bad.

A clear golden beer with a small white head. The aroma is toasted sweet grain, a little ginger. The flavor is very sweet with huge ginger spiciness lingering on the tongue and throat.

Bottle. Poirs a clear light golden color. Aro ma of ginger, fruit, and bit of malt. Taste of ginger, honey, some fruit and malt. Mild bitterness and a spicy ginger finish. Light body, quite sweet, sort of a ginger ale feel. Interesting beverage but not too keen on.

Not a beer I would recommend if others are available. Flavor was strong, a bit too strong to be refreshing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Whew! This is quite the gingery drink. Very strong, forward, spicy ginger wallop that is unavoidable and makes this brew hard to drink quickly. Definitely a sipper with dinner and not a lone session ale. That said, it definitely fits the bill- a ginger beer through and through!

Pale straw-colored beer with a foamy white head that has decent retention. Weak semi-sweet nose with hints of spice and yeast. Flavor starts sweet, but is then counter balanced by a bit of musky bitterness and the pleasant bite of ginger. This makes the beer seem less sweet than it is and enhances its drinkability substantially. Nice change of pace beer, especially if you like ginger, which I do.

Pour is a clear gold with a average white head. Aroma is all ginger but also a little soapy. Flavor is sweet at first then comes the ginger and a little spicy heat. Like a real ginger ale with a small amount of alcohol. I don’t know who would want this in the regular rotation.
