Light brown with off white head and lace. Aroma of chocolate malt some almost coffee notes coming through. Light sour malt flavor with caramel that fades to chocolate. Medium body with good carbonation. The more you drink the better it gets.

Brewvival Trip Beer 6. Draft at the brewpub. Pours a hazy reddish brown color with a medium sized creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of honey, nuts, and a perfumey, almost incense like note. The taste is sweet malts, honey and herbal hops. Medium bodied.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Beer 41 Asheville trip. Pours a dark, slightly murky brown. Aroma was lightly of roasted malts, hazelnut. Flavor was a match, with the faintest hint of floral hop on the finish. Really a very nice beer, liked it a lot. Almost like a light bodied coffee with a dash of milk to take the edge off the bitterness. Superb brown ale, nice reminder that this doesn’t have to be a dustbin of a style.
