decaturstevo (4080) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - FEB 9, 2013

Copper with creamy white head and lace. Aroma dominated by the rye and some light resiny hops. Large caramel malt sweet with a decent resiny bitter with a hinto orange zestiness. Light bodied and a tad fizzy but a decent drinker.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours a hazy brown color with a medium sized creamy white head. Good head retention. Weak aroma of faint sweet malts. The taste is big rye notes, herbal hops, faint sweet malts. Medium bodied.

Draft to taster at the LAB. Doesn’t look like a rye beer. Looks like a Hefeweizen. Smells like nothing. Tastes like bitter yeast with a bad mouthfeel. This beer sucks.
