Cask (handpump), Lord Raglan brewpub, Nangreaves, nr Bury. A good place to visit to try a number of the beers brewed on the premises - unlike many brewpubs, it carries a full range of the beers (7 on my visit). A couple of the beers are also available bottled in case you can’t get through them all on cask in a visit. This is an attractive, bright copper coloured beer, with a lasting creamy head (pulled through a sparkler). A dry and well-hopped best bitter. The hops have a slightly oily, resinous edge in the aroma. There’s a solid malt base to go with the hops in the flavour, producing a refreshing well-balanced brew.
