MesandSim (4623), Highgate, Greater London, England Jul 9, 2008 A Mes rate: Gravicask at Ealing Beer Festival.
Golden brown with a very slight bubbly rim. Bland aroma; slight fruity malt is about all that’s there. A little more going on in the mouth but only slightly. More fruity malt with some very slight bitterness on the finish. Bland as hell. A good place to visit to try a number of the beers brewed on the premises - unlike many brewpubs, it carries a full range of the beers (7 on my visit). This is not one of the more assertive ones. Its a decent enough, amber coloured, clean session bitter, with moderate bitterness and a touch of malt, but there’s nothing to really grab the attention. But it is a session bitter so you wouldn’t expect anything out of the ordinary and it slips down nicely.
