I tried this beer on August 12, 2008 after purchasing from one of the local LCBO outlets. The beer poured a translucent dark gold colour with very little head. The aroma was metallic, malty, with some hoppy presence. The mouthfeel was light to medium bodied, and highly carbonated. The flavour is grainy malt, with some bitter hints.
Quack-Duck (1966), Bodensee, Germany Oct 31, 2008 can. Clear pale golden yellow colour, medium-sized head. Malty nose. Full-bodied, pleasantly malty with some fruity hints, hoppy bitter-finish with a touch of malt. Quite all right. MiP (6221), Flensburg, Germany Oct 4, 2008 Can, 5.5%. Weak citric aroma, not unpleasant. Clear yellow colour. Small white head. Mild flavour, some malt, hint of grain in the finish. A subtle macro lager. patricks110 (193), Alberta, Canada Sep 7, 2008 A pretty drinkable premium lager. Aroma of corn, malts, and old hops. Taste is grainy and slightly bitter. Overall, this beer is very stisfying for a premium lager and I will have this beer again blipp (937), Grand Island, New York, USA Sep 4, 2008 Bottle. Pours clear gold with a white head.
