500ml can from a corner supermarket in Gillingham as part of a six Polish beers for £5 deal. How can you say no to that - especially as all, apart from this one, were 7% abv! Itís a drinkable global pale lager. Not very tasty, but at this price you donít expect that. Somebody had this listed as a Premium Lager. Gawd help us! Premium Lager is, of course, purely a marketing exercise - itís the beers that a brewery will put most of its advertising behind, and will put a "premium" on the price as a result. Itís not a fucking beer category - and even if it was, this beer is as far from it as it is possible to be, for fuckís sake. Anyway, yeah, the beer is drinkable. And as expected. Bland. With a slightly filthy taste, But drinkable. And cheap.

Put this puppy deep in the freezer with the hope that it would make it more tolerable. If you opened the dictionary to the word mediocre youíd see a picture of this beer. I get carbonation & unsalted butter & sweet corn wayer & maybe a leaf from a hop tree in each sip. Honestly, this tastes like fake beer. Puts the ugh in ugly.

Pours a copper colour with a microhead and slips away quickly. No lace. Smells skucky, but the flavour is a little better. The usual Euro pale lager flavour..sweet with a little bitterness and some skunk.

Buttery lager with faint herb aftertaste. Abrupt finish. Probably with diacethyl. Mediocre.

From bottle at Novotel Centrum Krakow 25.09.14. Clear golden. Foamy and persistent white head and lacing. Lots of bubbles. Moderate, but fine aroma, of pilsner hops. Equally moderate, but slightly crude, pilsner taste. Well balanced. Slightly earthy bitterness in aftertaste.

RABinCO (1399) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - AUG 15, 2014
Bottle into a glass. Medium golden hay pour. No real head, little halo of white. Aroma is metallic, cereal, alcohol. Taste is surprisingly crappy. Tastes like a high-gravity malt likka, not a medium-boost pale lager. Super sugary, stale cereal, sugary booze. Not at all refreshing or drinkable.

Backlog Krakow 2010. Sweet malty nose, grainy, grass, cardboard; clear pale golden, frothy white head, disappears quickly; taste light sweet, light bitter, bit metallic; medium body, oily to watery texture; bit more bitterness in aftertaste.
