Which beer is being rated here, the one only available in Tibet or the new Lhasa Beer that is now available in the US? Can’t say i’ve really ever had this since it is only available in Tibet, they cannot ship this beer to the US. It’s amazing that so many people have travelled to this country and have been able to rate this. I tried to bring this over from China and it got pulled out of my bag in customs They do have another beer coming out of this brewery but it is a totally different brewer and totally different ingredients, Lhasa Beer (Export), and the only Lhasa beer in the US.

Pours macro yellow with a small white head. Aroma is more basic macro with some corn and some hops. Flavor is you guessed it, more macro. There are a few more hops in this than your standard basic American BMC lager, but it still tastes pretty similar. Pretty basic adjunct lager here. Thin, watery mouthfeel.

Bottle. Golden beer with a whitish head. Light sweet malt and light spice aroma. Spice, orange, and light malt flavor with some earthiness. Medium bodied. Spice, light frutiiness and malt lingers. Different, but interesting fruity flavor - kumquat like.

I wasn’t expecting much from this but it actually wasn’t that bad. I was pleasantly surprised at the aroma - not skunky in the slightest and could discern a bit of floral hops amongst the various malt notes. Body is a little thin and the taste a bit watered-down, but the malty flavor and hoppy finish paired great with the artichoke dip I sampled it with.

UPDATED: JAN 27, 2010 Pours golden with a spritzy head. This brew is a good thirst quencher. Nothing offensive at all about it. NIce packaging to boot. A good session lager.

12oz bottle from Keg and Barrel in Plano good to meet another Ratebeerian working at a great store. Pours golden bubbly with a bright white ring. Nose is sweet and light. Taste is pretty typical for an asian pale lager albeit maybe a tad more tasty.

Bottle, sampled at The Big Pour beerfest in Scottsdale AZ. Clear golden, aroma and flavour of clean grains, clean finish with a low grassy hop note. I’ve had worse, and the lady pouring didn’t ask to stamp our passport (freebie!!!).

Bottle another new country for me. Skunky aroma on the nose. Yellow body with white head. Good bittering and has that lemon zest zip to it. Good lawmower beer as most would say.
