3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle shared, featuring a fantastic picture of an insane yellow flappy bird with 6 wings, lunatic eyes and feathers flying everywhere while the creature is in mid-squark. Truly an exceptional label and probably the most flappy I’ve seen on a beer yet. There really should be a score for rating the label design and if there was, this one would get a 10. Anyway, the beer is hazy orange with a short lived cream head. Aroma of malt, caramel, light sof herbal notes, light yeast, a little pepper and green weedy notes. Flavour is light to light moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter. Light medium bodied with soft carbonation. Bonus points for the picture of the demented bird.

Small rim, veiled pale amber beer. Dry hops, garden herbs. Dry, hoppy, bitter-herbal. Feels very carbonated, rather slick, medium bodied. Nice, but De Ranke can do much better. Nose is all but absent.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
From draft at Delirium Cafe, Brussels. Dull hazed gold with a short white head.
Unfinished nose of wort, apple juice, generic fruit esters, with a musty and old-smelling yeast. Decent texture, lush enough in the mouth with good effervescence brightening the experience with hop oil and malt sugar. Lightly phenolic, moderately bitter finish.
