COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A lighter, cask-conditioned version of our IPA, with just enough tingle to remind you how great it is to be in Maine in the summer.

On tap at the brewpub 6/16/06. Actually it’s called "Summer Bitter, Summer Not". My highlight of the night from this brewery. It’s a cask conditioned bitter, so it’s really smooth, with a nice creamy head. Aroma is bittering hops with sweet caramel malt and biscuity. Flavor is pretty much a substantial caramel malt, which is surprising based on the style. Bitter finish is done well...I liked this beer a lot, and i liked the big glass it came in :)

(cask) Off-white head atop lightly hazed amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, orange/grapefruit. Taste is medium sweet, orange/grapefruit, light caramel. Light-medium body, light resin.

(Draught) Sampled at the brewpub in Hollowell, ME. Pours with a quick dissipating white head and a clear golden body. The nose is of faint caramel and distant bitter hops. The flavour is bready and thin with tones of caramel malt and a last elixer finish. Average.

Served cask conditionned. Clear golden color with a thin white head. Mild aroma of caramel. Mild flavor of hops and caramel. The palate is light and oily with soft carbonation.
