(Draft: Liberator Brewing in Troutdale, OR) Wow, this is one watery and light hefeweizen. This may as well be a light beer, it’s practically devoid of flavor, with a gently wheat maltiness, a hardly perceptible trace of spice, and no real hop contribution. Straw colored, slightly hazy, and the whitish head fades very quickly to a tiny ring, leaving no lacing. Somewhere between beer and water.

I would not call this a German hefe. Very light with a lemon taste that is almost an after thought. Slightly cloudy with a very small white head that almost made the beer seem flat. Good for drinking on a hot day to be able to slam the beer down.

Tap at brewery. Hazy yellow colored. Decent white head with moderate lacing. Light tangarine citrus notes in aroma. Extremely light bodied, watery. Flavors seem to be non-existant. Poor example.
