UPDATED: JAN 6, 2008 F#$k this is awesome. Glorious hop nose. Earthy, frothy and a wonderfully hopped malty beer. If you visit Liberator, drink both IPAs... they rock.
4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Murphy (1759) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - MAY 25, 2004
Holy hops Batman! Huge full hop aroma, pretty sure this is exclusivly cascade but who knows. Slightly cloudy yellow color. Palate is medium bodied, dominated by a huge burst of citrusy, sweet hops. Bitterness comes in the finish, but is very well balanced and does not offend. I am reminded of LaConner Dry Hopped IPA, but without the straining business. A fine, fine NW IPA.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 BückDich (5467) - McCall, Idaho, USA - JUN 9, 2004
Dark hoppy amber with no head, lacing or carbonation. The aroma has a bit of hops, fresh cascades with a balanced maltiness. The flavor is lightly bitter with a fresh outdoorsyness to it. Finishes with a good body. Good respectable IPA.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Sham (1846) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAR 12, 2005
Hazy amber with red hints, a frothy head and stringy lace. Fruity nose with some orange and grapefruit. Bitter though not too much. Some floral hints. Fruity and bitter hop flavors with some caramel malts. Chalky palate and a bitter finish.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Aubrey (3193) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - AUG 8, 2004
Foggy amber with a thinnish head. Mild carbonation; thick malts. Funky nose. Malts were chewy-sweet (bread dough), earthy, woody, and wholesome. Hops were a little spicy, very piney, and somewhat flowery ... quite aromatic overall. Citric bitterness (mainly grapefruit) in the aftertaste. Pretty tasty IPA with a very malty backbone.

On nitro at the brewpub. Mellow hop aroma. Mostly piney cascade hops aftertaste, but its balanced by some malt character, and offset by the nitro pour. Nice

Tap. Extremely crisp in an unusual way. Fruity, citric, grapefruit aroma that has a slightly malty taste that distinguishes it from other IPAs. Some hints of orange rind; nice mouthfeel with a hair of sharpness.

Tap at brewery. Hazy amber-orange colored. Decent white head leaves great lacing. Aroma is a little earthy and a tad musty? Medium bodied. Pleasantly bitter which lasts quite a while. Balance is there. Fair to good.
