UPDATED: MAY 9, 2009 Growler at the Sexual Chocolate release party. It really excites me that some (maybe the first) NC breweries are jumping on the sour/wild bandwagon! Hazy gold with some pinkish hues, and really thin head. Wild yeast and fruit on the nose. Thin bodied tropical fruit flavor followed by a small acidic finish. This beer has some serious potential bump up the bugs and throw it in a barrel to age!

Draft, at the sexual chocolate partay. Wheaty sour, gapes. Some sweetness from the malts. A lambic in north carolina? not so sure.

Sampled courtesy of the brewer at Pre-Sex. Light orange pour with moderate carbonation. Hazy and yeasty, a promising start. The nose is fairly passive, but invitingly fruity. Chewy flavors with only modest tartness. Quite drinkable, and hopefully an augur of things to come from Liberty!

Poured from a growler at Sexual Chocolate release. Hazy gold with no head. Nose is fruity, soft pineapple character, some sour wheat coming through, tad yeasty. The flavor is sweet, mildly fruity, some tartness. Palate is smooth with no carbonation.
