A rather unusual beer to find in New Zealand, California Common does not feature highly die to the differently shaped fermenters this involves. So I was expecting a full bodied fruitiness and easy, mellow beer. What I got was a beer that was packed with hops, full, fresh, fruity and displaying significant lemon and grassy, herbaceous hops. This was the case with the flavour. An eminently drinkable pint, but if reviewed in the full glare of competitive judging it would fail. If view under the criteria of wanting another: oh God yes.
