3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
2016-05-05. Crisp orange-amber body with a nice off-white head that fades. 3++ Aroma is hoppy, moderate resin and greenery. Flavour is moderately hoppy and bitter throughout, moderate citrus gives way to greener hop character that is less to my liking. Green veg character grows as you go. Average plus bodied palate, moderate carbonation. 3+ More citrus on the label than in the beer unfortunately. Maybe not fresh? No date on the bottle, which seems to be the norm in NZ so it makes it tough to decide what is on purpose vs. freshness issues. 7/4/7/3/14 Bottle at Brothers, Auckland, NZ.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
500mL bottle, pours a cloudy golden orange with a medium white head. Aroma brings out heaps of tropical fruits, some slightly dank hoppiness and caramel malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with rich resinous hops, caramel malt and tropical fruitiness. Wonderfully balanced, with a pretty pungent fruitiness. Lovely stuff.

500ml bottle. Well deserving of its renown. Always enjoy a single hop beer and when the variety is Citra you know it’s going to be great.

Gold pour, small white head. Aroma of mango, apricot, lemon, grass, and hay. Flavor of mango, big grapefruit, notes of caramel and chocolate but very bitter. Full and sharp. Fantastic.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: MAY 18, 2016 Pours a slightly hazy orange-gold with a sticky half-finger of white head. Big tropical and citrus aroma, pineapple, lychee, mango, orange. The flavour is all these things plus a moderately assertive hop bite not detectable in the nose. The body is medium and goes for the citrusy juicy feel over a malty one, making it drink like an IPA. A stellar delicious drink.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Sensational ipa! Pours golden with decent foam. Do yourself a favour and put your nose right in this beer and take a huge breath in. You'll be bowled over by an aroma full of passionfruit, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, mandarin... The list goes on. The flavour gives the fullest hop flavour possible without even the slightest hint of overpowering bitterness. Top beer!

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at Brothers Beer. Clear bright golden with a small white head. The aroma is characteristic of citra beers - citric, grapefruit, orange, pine. The flavor is nice with honey sweet malt yielding to a big bitter hop punch. Medium bodied, intense and enamel ripping. Good!

500mL bottle BB: jan 2016. As i pour this clear golden brew i can smell the amazing aroma wofting from the glass. The wonderful tropical citrus fruit is very prominent in the flavor also. An incredible beer that is deceptively drinkable at 9%.
