From what I have seen of other reviews this is a rave beer. A rock star of double IPAs, this beer sends reviewers in paroxysms of delight. From what I have been enjoying over the last fifteen minutes there may be good reason for this. Deep orange amber colour with little enduring head, I have seen prettier beers. Aromas of massive hoppy tangerine, chlorophyll, green spruce cones and undertones of amber malts. My feeling is that the malt aromas play very much a second fiddle to the hops in this style but there are examples of balance (see Middlemiss Hodgson IPA). The flavour is just a massive surge of bitterness all at once. A cascade (forgive the unintentional hop pun) of hop driven flavours all struggling to make themselves felt at once like a hoard of children finding easter eggs. Tastes significantly of oranges, tangelo and tangerine with some gooseberry with the malt, while taking that back seat, making gentle suggestions that it too is there. Is it rave-worthy? Probably. I found it nice enough and I think my rating is justifiable.

Deep rich amber golden color. Little white head. Heavenly nose of citrus and tons of mangoes. Clean maltiness. Big, full body with hop explosion that jumps across the mouth to the back of the tongue. Very prickly, but plenty of malt to balance things out. Slightly boozy. Hops never leave the tongue and just sit front and center. Really well executed IIPA. Top notch stuff.

Beautiful clear pour though low head retention. Big Citras nose. Smooth and light body - biscuity. Big hops with some alcohol burn. Not a long finish. Very well made and highly enjoyable, though not as pungently hoppy as some WCIPA examples I really enjoy.

Great double IPA! This beer is smooth, balanced and relatively soft on the palate. A truly excellent beer, thanks Liberty!

Massive citra aroma - not the biggest citra taste (this is good for people like me who don’t absolutely love citra) but big enough - well balanced with sweet biscuity malt but not too sweet - alcohol totally hidden - a damn good drink.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours a deep golden orange with a firm white head. Nose is a fresh fruit bowl! Wow! Loads of mango, passionfruit, lychee, tangerine and orange. Taste is much the same. Taste almost too thin and easy to drink. Bitterness catches up with you quite late. Slammed this down way too easy!

Bottle. skunky hopped up aroma. Balanced IPA that hides alcohol very well. Did not notice alcohol in taste- just impact. Lovely warming! Had from keg last time. Both great. This less energy in bottle but richness more evident because of lower fizz.

Bottle received as extra in trade. Thank you stoutnick! Pours hazy golden with a rather small frothy white head that leaves lots of sticky lacing and trace on the glass. Smell is fruity with crackers, cookies, grapefruit juice, moist grass, yellow winegums, pineapple juice, pine needles, orange zest, lemony soap and lemon zest. Taste is sweet, slightly bitter and fruity with white bread, grapefruit juice, overripe tropical fruits, sugar, orange zest, lemon zest, minerals, moist grass, pine needles, kumquats, chives and star fruit. Mouthfeel is soft, round, slightly astringent and medium to full bodied. Finish is tiny sweet, bitter and fruity with white bread, grapefruit juice, kumquats, peaches, moist grass, pine needles, minerals, chives and star fruit. Solid IIPA! Possibly a bit too sweet...

Bottle tnx to Alex. Pours cloudy amber with a nice off white head. Aroma is grassy green a bit fruity malty. Flavor is as aroma, very green nearly veggy, very different and not really what I had expected, bitterness stays there but not overwhelming, good green fruity finish.
