3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 pineypower (1827) - Pine Barrens, USA - AUG 29, 2009
pours out a dark brown with some reddish hues in it, slight lacing off white head. Once again the glass almost stuck to my hands it was so cold, so I found myself warming this one. Aroma is of slight roast, a little chocolate and a little coffee. Taste is much the same as the aroma, little bit of sweetness, nothing offensive or over the top, everything improved when it reached its ideal drinking temperature.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 dpento1 (233) - Virginia, USA - MAY 22, 2010
Pours a brown-red with very minimal lacing. It had a very light aroma of roasted malts and a very small amount of chocolate. Flavors was much the same. Overall very light and thin.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 jb (1606) - Rochester, New York, USA - JUN 3, 2009
Nice dark appearance but a minimal head detracted. Nutty and chocolaty nose and a palate to match. A bit thin at the temp served (on draft at the establishment) but richer and fuller as it warmed.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 jobyone (234) - Charlotte, USA - NOV 12, 2007
Draught. Pours very dark red with dcent size off white head. The aroma has chocolate and a bit of roasted malt. The flavor is sweet (once it warmed up in the frozen mug. Why do they do this!!!) but not much roasted flavor I would like. Body a bit on the light side. Easy to drink.
