Anyway, this beer is deep apricoty amber in colour with a course but also marshmallowy head that was creamy coloured. There was aroma of woody hops that lent themselves more to Pacific Nor’West than English ale. There was rich orchard fruit and spruce but also the lovely balance of what I imagine may have been Golding (a particular favourite of mine... you know you’re a beer geek when you have a favourite hop). The smell wasn’t a slap in the face assault of hops, but was a good subtle balance of malt and hops that you really had to stick your nose into to appreciate. In the mouth it is silky and rich with sweet amber fruits and tiny carbonation bubbles. I would even go so far to say that this beer was even a touch oily. Lots of bitterness came through in the second mouthful that carried the apricot, orange oil and tangelo onward to the finish. A big beer certainly. Worth repeating too.

As a showpiece beer this is quite clever, and brings a smile to my face.
The second mouthful reveals it’s bitterness, but also how it carries the fruits.
This is shaping to be a mildly bitter, creamy smooth ale, with bitterness that does not overshadow the delivery of tastes.

Low carb? High carb! A lovely richly flavoured beer, which has one of the softest palates I have had in a beer.
Complaint - hate zork closures, so much so it reduced my overall score.

Deep copper color. Smells like apple pie with some cherries. Full thick body. Full
malty backbone. Smooth, but not so rounded, I think six to twelve months could help this
beer. Moderate hops. Nice.
