Originalyl reviewed: 12/16/10. Had this one at the brewpub with lunch today. Came out a slightly hazy dark amber with a finger-width creamy off-white head on top. The nose was fairly average with some pine notes, sweet malts, and a bit of grass. Good moderately full mouth. Ample carbonation. Smooth finish. Fairly tame on the hop front. Could use a bit more punch, but still retains plenty of flavor. Sweet malty balance, and finishes bready with hints of bitterness. Extremely drinkable. I could have one after the other of this offering. Nothing too unique, just a standard drinkable ale.

A reddish amber ale with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, a sweet nutty malt with herbal and mineral notes. In mouth, more of a Vienna with nutty malt, fruity esters, light German hops. On tap at the brewpub, August 14, 2011.

Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a slightly hazy reddish amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma with hoppy hints. Fruity malty slightly toasted caramel flavor with hoppy hints. Has a fruity malty caramel finish with hoppy hints.

My favorite irish red ale, Rocket pours a deep reddish brown with a thick 2 finger head. Redolent with caramel and Munich malt, this balanced ale shows a nice earthy hop zing in the finish that will keep you slugging. Lightly carbonated with a bit of nobel twang in the finish, this red is more flavorful than most. Drink at cellar temp for best experience, preferably paired with a big well done burger.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub. Pours a hazy orange brown color. Aroma of caramel, strong citrus and faintly metallic hops. Taste is leafy and citrus hops with caramel. Lingering bitterness throughout. Medium bodied.
