Draft. Poured hazy dark amber color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate sour citrus hop aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium smooth bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. This is a solid beer.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 deyholla (4787) - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA - AUG 12, 2012
Sampled from the tap at the 15th annual MBGSF. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a nice resinous hop note with some grass and a sweet grain backing. Flavor has a good amount of pine up front with some sweet grains and resin and mellows to more of a grassy finish.
2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 umich03jm (909) - Allen Park, Michigan, USA - AUG 1, 2012
Draft at the pub. Pours a cloudy yellow-orange color with a little head. Smells a little like bells two hearted, grapefruit citrus and floral. Taste is nothing like two hearted. Mild bitterness, very floral, very thin body. Not nearly enough malt to hold this together. Finish is a bit rough with mostly citrus and flowers again. It's ok at best. Disappointed.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 5000 (4974) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - JUN 10, 2011
Bottle:   Cloudy amber, very hazy, large frothy white head, sticky lacing.   Hoppy nose, a little dull but strong, minor sweetness, a bit of citrus zest.   Not a hop bomb, or a malt bomb it would seem.   Certainly hoppy, but its not all that biting.   Has a decent amount of citrusy sweetness to balance it out.   Very smooth, not as malty or heavy as I prefer, but this is better than most.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   This one could actually stand to be a bit more hoppy.   Has this dull basement like musty hoppiness that would be better if it were a litle more sharp.   Other than that, very enjoyable.   Thanks to Pailhead for the bottle!
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 flatmatt (869) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - MAY 29, 2011
On tap at the brewery. Pours a golden amber with a white head. Aroma is grapefruit! Flavor is also grapefruit! But also other hoppy flavors: pine and floral hops with a solid bitter finish. Quite a nice double IPA.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Pailhead (3859) - Plymouth, Michigan, USA - APR 20, 2011
On tap: The nose consists of strong orange and tangerine aromas along with mild grapefruit. It pours a cloudy golden-orange with a small white head that fades to a very thin ring around the edges of the glass that leaves behind spotty lacing. The flavor is all citrus with lots of orange and tangerine up front. The finish has moderate grapefruit and a touch of grassiness. Grapefruit lingers on the tongue for some time in the aftertaste. Medium bodied with mild carbonation. Overall, I would prefer a little more grapefruit bite in the finish for a little more balance with all the sweet orange flavors up front, but it’s still very tasty.
