On tap: The nose consists of strong orange and tangerine aromas along with mild grapefruit. It pours a cloudy golden-orange with a small white head that fades to a very thin ring around the edges of the glass that leaves behind spotty lacing. The flavor is all citrus with lots of orange and tangerine up front. The finish has moderate grapefruit and a touch of grassiness. Grapefruit lingers on the tongue for some time in the aftertaste. Medium bodied with mild carbonation. Overall, I would prefer a little more grapefruit bite in the finish for a little more balance with all the sweet orange flavors up front, but it’s still very tasty.

Bottle:   Cloudy amber, very hazy, large frothy white head, sticky lacing.   Hoppy nose, a little dull but strong, minor sweetness, a bit of citrus zest.   Not a hop bomb, or a malt bomb it would seem.   Certainly hoppy, but its not all that biting.   Has a decent amount of citrusy sweetness to balance it out.   Very smooth, not as malty or heavy as I prefer, but this is better than most.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   This one could actually stand to be a bit more hoppy.   Has this dull basement like musty hoppiness that would be better if it were a litle more sharp.   Other than that, very enjoyable.   Thanks to Pailhead for the bottle!

On tap at the brewery. Pours a golden amber with a white head. Aroma is grapefruit! Flavor is also grapefruit! But also other hoppy flavors: pine and floral hops with a solid bitter finish. Quite a nice double IPA.
