COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A malt focused beer with an initial sweetness and a roasted dryness in the finish. A deep reddish-copper color is unmistakable for this style.

RBSG 2010 - Amber pour with an off-white head. It has a mild toasted caramel malt aroma. This brew is easy drinking with rich caramel malt. It’s medium bodied and has a light finish. Okay but rather bland.

Closer to a scotch ale. I don't detect any hop character. Nice maltiness but no balance. Still tasted decent though. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap. The aroma is light-moderate toastiness, caramel, and a touch of fruit. It pours a transparent amber with a small off-white that quickly fades to a thin ring spins the edges of the glass. The flavor starts lightly fruity. The finish is moderate caramel/tootsie roll-ish with a touch of toastiness. Medium bodied with mild carbonation with a somewhat sticky mouthfeel. Overall, a rather malty Amber Ale.

UPDATED: NOV 22, 2009 On tap at the brewpub, back when it was listed as Liberty Street Irish Red Ale. It has since been renamed to Red Glare Amber Ale. Pours brown amber with an off-white ring for a head. Muted aroma of sweet biscuit. Flavor is sweet biscuit, honey, caramel, some light dark fruit flavors, and at times some minerals (iron). A nice amber ale or red, if a bit light on flavor.
