Big hop aroma up front, pine dominating, pours golden orange with thin white head. Lacing. Strong lasting bitterness, good though, caramel malt to pull it all together. An approachable monster

Bottle - Conflicted much! After a couple of other APA (from Tuatara) this was a shock in a couple of ways. Less IBU but then the bitterness was through and through and all of the profile. Much lighter than the recent APA I had too, So much adjustment. However this was all in all a nicely delivered and steady and predictable beer. I though may have needed a food to make it a beer to have more than one of, but then, as you drink more it just settles and becomes that much nicer. (Iíve had this on tap too, and I liked it then, just as much)

Strong herbal malty aroma - good herbal/resiny hop thrust in the mouth with herbal/fruity aftertaste - well balanced with biscuity malt - lovely bitterness - the more I sip the more I like it - very good NZPA, near to outstanding - would be if it was more fruit driven - definitely an enjoyable drink.

Iím an American with six yearsí NZ beer experience under my belt. I recall thinking--once upon a time ago--that Epic was NZís best option. That dates me, since itís a clearly dated view. Liberty is so many orders of magnitude greater than Epic, now, that itís hard to imagine how far NZís beer has come since I first arrived. Liberty is the quantum leap. I can finally say thereís a beer here--not just the Monster but Citra, too, and hopefully others I havenít tried yet--that makes me forget about all the beers I miss so much back in the states. Thank you Liberty for inducing amnesia--or beernesia or whatever, I forget. Oh, and the beer--yes, itís so drinkable and full and--it just calms me down with goodness so I forget what to say. A simple thank you will have to suffice.

Great APA. Loves of fresh hops flavour (surprisingly as I have had this bottle sitting around for a while. Pours a clear yellow, with a big fluffy white head.

Wow, packs a fruity hops punch like not many beers do. Strong sweet floral aroma, with rich fruity flavours that slap you in the face. Itís an interesting beer thatís worth a look if you love strong fruity hops.

500ml Bottle. Golden tinted hazy orange beer, with a thin, white head. Strong floral, pine aromas and notes of caramel malts and passion fruit, with hints of straw. Flavour is fruity hops, with notes of pine, peach and sweat, caramel malt and grass. Medium bodied and relatively dry. Rising bitterness with a lovely pine flavour for the finish. Great pale ale

A beauty of a hoppy pale ale from Liberty. Fragrant pineapple and papaya peach and orange floral notes with only a pinch of pine tar. Medium body, extremely soft delivery of fine carbonation and bakery-fresh pale malt, balanced grain sweetness and savoriness with the oily and juicy hoppiness in the mouth, to me it feels like a lot of late boil and flameout hops. Among the cleanest and most interesting hop-focused beers I had in New Zealand, brought to a higher level of enjoyment by the stunningly soft body and the rich, natural caramelized grain sugar character of the malt. I can see why this beer garners such high numbers in New Zealand, and I think if it were imported to the states it would find wide approval.
