COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Get those images of Godzilla and Mothra out of your head! I know you were thing it, but this beer has nothing to do with Japan whatsoever. Yakima is actually a region in the state of Washington USA where some of Joseph Woodís favorite hops are grown. This monster of a Pale Ale showcases several of those hops. "Itís a easy drinking beer, flavorsome enough for your father ín law to exclaim "wow - thatís fruity!" yet complex enough for any green blooded hop-head to appreciate." - Joseph Wood, Liberty Brewer. Gold medal 2012 Brew NZ Awards

Stellar beer. Aromas of lemon peel, orange peel, grapefruit, passionfruit, kiwi and faint banana. The flavour is an equally stunning bouquet with no overbearing bitterness. Great beverage ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

[8196-20160507] 500mL bottle. Mild wet wort and toasted grains aroma. Clear, orange body with a medium-lasting creamy white head and some lacing. Bitter orange and grainy resin flavour. Medium-full body. Big and bold, a little rough. (7/4/7/4/15) 3.7

2016-05-07. Lightly hazy dark yellow body, nice creamy beige head. 3+ Aroma is mild, lightly doughy malt, sweet orange and citrus peel. Flavour is moderately bitter throughout. Mild Muddled but pleasant citrus melange. Minerally lemon-lime character grows in the aftertaste as it warms. Average to light bodied palate, moderate carbonation. 3+ Enjoyable, but less assertive hop profile than my preference. 7/3-4/7/3/14-16 Bottle from Glengarry Wines, Auckland, NZ.

500mL bottle, pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out biscuity malt and light citrusy and piney hops, seems a bit faded in the hops. Flavour is clean, with light pine and citrusy hops, with a wet biscuity malt backbone. Clean and well-balanced. Doesnít seem as fresh as possible, but itís quite good.

Poured from a stubbie. Pours a delightful gold with some cloudyness, and a light fluffy head that hangs around for most of the drinking. Aroma is citrus, grapefruit and simcoe (?) hops. Taste changes considerably as it warms. Light and fruity when cold, bitter pine dominates as it warms, with some bready malt in there too. Sessionable for an APA, but still complex and enough to keep most hop-heads happy.

Right in the zone for an APA. Resin dominates, with a little fruitiness thrown in. Great bitterness and balance. Only 6% so is surprisingly sessionable

BOTTLE. Poured see through gold with thin white head that disappeared quickly.. Fruity nose, lemongrass & subtle citrus notes.. Big mix in the taste, hop flower, solid malt texture, going to more fruit hops that leaves a solid resin mouth feel.. Sourced Cape Cellars

Pours a slightly hazy mango-gold, creamy finger of head, nice lacing. Strong tropical and floral aroma opening up to reveal a dominant pine. The taste is pine but clean rather than dank, mango, grapefruit, good malt flavour. The body is big for an APA, really pushing IPA with the complexity in flavour of a bigger beer. But itís still light enough to put away quickly, nicely carbonated and spiky hop finishing. No idea of the date on this, tasted reasonably fresh and packs a wallop for the style.

Bitter hoppy taste is the dominant flavour of the day. Slight fruity taste grapefruit though it is pretty overwhelmed by the hops ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

500 ml bottle. Pours a mostly clear orange-amber with a tight and lasting white head. Aromas of pineapple, peach, honey, pine and lemon zest. Taste is grapefruit, peach, honey biscuits, pepper and lemon. Long finish with a fresh fruity aftertaste. Really enjoyed this.
