Get those images of Godzilla and Mothra out of your head! I know you were thing it, but this beer has nothing to do with Japan whatsoever. Yakima is actually a region in the state of Washington USA where some of Joseph Wood’s favorite hops are grown. This monster of a Pale Ale showcases several of those hops. "It’s a easy drinking beer, flavorsome enough for your father ’n law to exclaim "wow - that’s fruity!" yet complex enough for any green blooded hop-head to appreciate." - Joseph Wood, Liberty Brewer. Great APA. Loves of fresh hops flavour (surprisingly as I have had this bottle sitting around for a while. Pours a clear yellow, with a big fluffy white head.

Wow, packs a fruity hops punch like not many beers do. Strong sweet floral aroma, with rich fruity flavours that slap you in the face. It’s an interesting beer that’s worth a look if you love strong fruity hops.

500ml Bottle. Golden tinted hazy orange beer, with a thin, white head. Strong floral, pine aromas and notes of caramel malts and passion fruit, with hints of straw. Flavour is fruity hops, with notes of pine, peach and sweat, caramel malt and grass. Medium bodied and relatively dry. Rising bitterness with a lovely pine flavour for the finish. Great pale ale

A beauty of a hoppy pale ale from Liberty. Fragrant pineapple and papaya peach and orange floral notes with only a pinch of pine tar. Medium body, extremely soft delivery of fine carbonation and bakery-fresh pale malt, balanced grain sweetness and savoriness with the oily and juicy hoppiness in the mouth, to me it feels like a lot of late boil and flameout hops. Among the cleanest and most interesting hop-focused beers I had in New Zealand, brought to a higher level of enjoyment by the stunningly soft body and the rich, natural caramelized grain sugar character of the malt. I can see why this beer garners such high numbers in New Zealand, and I think if it were imported to the states it would find wide approval.

Pale hazy golden pour with a fluffy white head. Strong APA aromas, passion, pine, caramels and strong wet hops Nice medium bodied beer, serious hopping, big resins, passionfruit, apricot and some nice biscuit and caramels. The finish is bitter, but leaves and nice slick sweet finish as well. Resins and fresh cut grass. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Impressive. A big nose, beautiful caramel notes. I love it. Shame it cost $10.99

Too tired to really rate this beer. A nicely balanced beer that to me could have a tad more vibrancy. Quite dry on the palate.

Pours amber with a large lasting head. Nose shows pine, peach, floral hops, sweet rich clean malt and resinous notes. Similar fruity hops as flavours along with a little pine. A fair whack of sweet malt follows along with a biting, piny bitterness. Nice mod-high carbonation.
