3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20Pours a lovely brick red colour and has a generous hoppy nose. On the palate quite soft and the bitterness is tempered by the malts. Have to admit I was a little disappointed by this beer as upfront the flavours are muted and a little thin.

Beautiful dark ruby red with a thin head that quickly disappears into an espresso type of head. Totally american hop aroma, pine, resin, citrus. Mmmmmm. Unfortunately, the delicious taste under-stays its welcome. It comes on all delicious with a nice hour-glass figure, all malt and hops, then suddenly it’s gone and you’re like, "What’s wrong? What did I do? Have I got bad breath or something? Come baaaaaack!"

Big hoppy nose and a great caramel color. This beer is a IRA has big hop and malt. Little off balance but still a good brew, try one!

UPDATED: MAY 4, 2013 Another great beer from the folks at Liberty. Not as balanced as their Yakima Monster to my taste but well worth drinking none the same.

Cool, my first taste of Liberty Brewings offerings. Carbonation is ok, I think it could benefit from a little more co2. Pours bright, its kinda reddish, with mahogany shine. Off white head with light lacing. Huge nose of USA hops, earthy, bitter and resinous. A aroma compound elludes me, and there is a note in the aroma that is musty, but not as a fault but just a shit load of hops. It drinks superb with a nice fruity start, lending to bitterness of the hops to a malty aftertaste of biscuit and toffee. Dare I say it is reminicent of 8 Wired Tall Poppy(when it has US hops in it), one of my favorites. All around this is an excellent beer, I am looking forward to more great beers from Joe.

500ml bottle, Adelaide. Great hop aroma when opened, nice colour. The head quickly fades but does lace well. Big hoppy hit on the back of the palate but very little up front. Tasted better but this is still very good.

Solid hoppy ale. Very resinous and quite bitter. A little sweetness goes well. Loads and loads of grapefruit and citrus. Good without being amazing

This is a bit of alright. Hops galore and the malts play an early part, but are soon pushed to the back. Fantastic colour beer, nice to drink. yes.

I love red beers and I love hoppy beers, so naturally I absolutely loved this one! Great aroma when poured, good colour, and just a bit more oomph than the average amber IPA/APA.

This was fantastic! Huge hop presence that is wonderfully balanced by the malt. This is a great beer which ticks all the boxes.

Aroma of lots of american hops with a subtle underlying malty base. Appearance is RED. thin hop tinged head with good lacing. Flavour is malty upfront, quickly dominated by the hops rolling through to a long bitter finish. Soft on the palate with moderate carbonation, very nice mouthfeel. A very good California style red ale, the malt is dominated by the hops and I would like to taste a little more of that glimpse of that promising underlying malt.
