Nutty and roast notes over a promising malty aroma. Dark copper to brown and cloudy with a huge head (does go down fairly quickly, but that may just be my glass). This beer is no filtered, so you get some yeast at the bottom of the bottle. Roasty flavors and some sweetness, a touch of hops that’s maybe a touch too pronounced. Not much of a palate, though for a bitter that may not be a bad thing.Good drinkable beer with plenty of flavor

At a tasting in "The dunk pub" in Haifa, on-tap, 5.5% ABV, pours amber brown color with a nice thick off-white head that remained a long time, alcoholic and malt aroma-I could barely smell, malt and sweetish taste, not flows-need to take in small steps, slightly carbonated, medium body, bitter and sweetish finish, alcohol feel more than 5.5% ABV as announced, overall a good Bitter beer and pride to the city of Haifa.

Brewpub has this at 5.5%. Dark amber. The aroma is quite earthy. Earthy palate with both toast and chocolate notes. Still fairly yeasty in character. Kit beer taste.

@ brewpub. Nice hazy, gradiated red. Stable head. Aroma is familiarly fruity with berry and familiar yeast. Husky. Soft palate. Sweet, husky. Boysenberry jam notes. Is OK.

Bottle from DSG, thanks! Orange brown color. Mandarin curacao in the slightly flowery aroma. Thin, dusty flavor with some flowery hops and mandarin. Gives a bit amateuristic impression, though the beer isn’t bad.

From tap: swettish malt, bready, some hoppy bitterness, juicy, lovely beer.

UPDATED: DEC 21, 2011 Re-rate 12/12/11: Draught at the brewpub. Clear deep amber-ruby color with a beige head,. Aroma of malt, some caramel, toastiness, a buttery touch, a bit of yeast and slightly earthy hops. Sweet malty flavor with caramel, biscuity hints, light fruitiness and a moderately bitter finish with some earthy hops. Medium-bodied. Decent and pretty balanced. 6/3/7/3/13=3.2

Draught at Dunk Pub in Haifa. Cloudy reddish amber color with a medium beige head. Aroma is quite hoppy, slightly floral and slightly earthy, with light citrus notes and some maltiness. Sweetish malty flavor with some bread, caramel hints, and a hoppy bitter finish. Medium-bodied. Nothing exciting, but a solid drinkable bitter that has quite a fresh feel to it. 6/4/6/3/12=3.1
