robertsreality (2462), Minnesota, USA Apr 12, 2005 Red/Brown with Sandy Ring. Dusty Malt..Sweet, Lightly Fruity Aroma. Sweet and Hoppy Beginning. Dusty Malt Ending with a Pinch of Warming. Decent Bock. badgerben (3231), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Apr 7, 2005 Growler, thanks to CharlesDarwin via RobertsReality. Dark red color with no head. Dusty aroma and something else... almost like bacon? Dark and earthy taste with a lot of dust. Dry as dust too. A little too parching for a bock, but still okay. CharlesDarwin (1442), State College, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 23, 2005 Updated: Nov 10, 2005Deep cloudy brown pour, with strong foamy off-white head. Fantastic lacing, just sheeting the glass. Weak malty aroma. Toasted sesame flavor predominate. Backed with grass and malt. Very complex but totally atypical of all the Bocks I’ve ever had. Not sweet and sugary and smooth like a standard, but more dryu and oaky, which is a little more terse on the palate.
