muzzlehatch (4424), Burlington, Vermont, USA Sep 15, 2006 5 oz draught sample at the brewpub, late July 2006. Dark clear caramel with a thin ring of head....lots of vegetal/DMS character in the nose, corn and greens but also some grape, cranberry and later as it warms, caramel...interesting but still not good....the body is fruity and somewhat smoky/acrid but lactic spoiled character and cheap wine feel come through towards the end and really make this unpleasant. CharlesDarwin (1333), State College, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 23, 2005 Sweet orange and cherry aroma. Clear watered down brown pour, with thin brown diminished head. Wheaty, rich tasty smooth sugary malt, with a tinge of finishing hops on the back end. Fruit continuing. Hints of oat and mellowed pears. Well rounded. Finishes sugary and leave light hops and toast tingle on the tounge.
