awaisanen (1161), Irvine, California, USA Dec 28, 2006 On tap at the brewpub. Pours a slightly hazy banana gold color with a wispy layer of whitish head. The wheat presence is clearly present, lightening up the bouquet with a gentle creaminess. Some pear and other soft fruit aromas. Medium bodied, creamy mouthfeel. Lots of pear and perhaps a smidgen of banana cream flavors on the palate. Minimal hops presence. A nice fruity yeast character is left mingling on the palate in the final smack, but isn’t overly phenolic. muzzlehatch (4424), Burlington, Vermont, USA Sep 15, 2006 5 oz draught sample at the brewpub, late July 2006. Pale slightly hazy gold with a thin wisp of diminishing head....malty nose offers a light hint of butter but isn’t overwhelmed by it....body is really bland, clean and a bit grassy but there’s no real hoppiness and it’s too light and thin to be anything but dull. CharlesDarwin (1412), State College, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 23, 2005 Thin pale yellow pour, with soapy thin head. Strong yeast and malt aromas. Rich fruity body. Extremely smooth finish. Top quality golden, bursting with hops on the palate. Finishes with a lucious sweet kiss of sugar.
