1.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20 muzzlehatch (4425) - Burlington, USA - SEP 15, 2006
5 oz draught sample at the brewpub, late July 2006. Pale slightly hazy gold with a thin wisp of diminishing head....malty nose offers a light hint of butter but isn’t overwhelmed by it....body is really bland, clean and a bit grassy but there’s no real hoppiness and it’s too light and thin to be anything but dull.

Light yellow color with no head. Light wheat and fruity aroma. Faint wheat and corn flavor. Very thin body.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 EHopper (472) - Minnesota, USA - DEC 5, 2009
Part of a sample platter from the Library in Houghton we had after 4 days being pounded by weather on our sailboat. The only notes I took on this one was "ok, nice sweetness, maybe a 3.1"). Not something I was overly impressed with but not appalled either.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Skyview (4880) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - JUL 3, 2009
On draught at the brewery/brewpub in downtown Houghton, Northern Michigan. Pours a clear golden pale colored brew with a thin off-white head that quickly dissipates to a thin ring and no lacing. Aroma of golden grain malt, a hint of grassy hops and some light butter. Taste is light bodied, some carbonation with flavors of golden grain malt, some light citrus and grassy hops. Finish is light with a hint of dry grassy hops that slowly disappears.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 awaisanen (1312) - Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 28, 2006
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a slightly hazy banana gold color with a wispy layer of whitish head. The wheat presence is clearly present, lightening up the bouquet with a gentle creaminess. Some pear and other soft fruit aromas. Medium bodied, creamy mouthfeel. Lots of pear and perhaps a smidgen of banana cream flavors on the palate. Minimal hops presence. A nice fruity yeast character is left mingling on the palate in the final smack, but isn’t overly phenolic.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 auerbrau (2668) - Peace Dale, Rhode Island, USA - MAR 23, 2005
Thin pale yellow pour, with soapy thin head. Strong yeast and malt aromas. Rich fruity body. Extremely smooth finish. Top quality golden, bursting with hops on the palate. Finishes with a lucious sweet kiss of sugar.
