500ml can brought back from the old country by my buddy Adam, who was there speed skiing. Love the aroma, some sweet bread and hay malt and grassy hop, tastes of lightly sweet malts and light grassy hops, a really nice pilsner... wish he had brought a flat!

11.2oz bottle in a shaker. Pours golden with a thick, white head. Aroma of light bread malts, some light fruits and light malts. Flavor decent, but not very crisp like others of this style. Average texture. An alright beer.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Got a case of this for only 13.99, perhaps the cheapest German Import out there. Imported by Bitburger. 11.2 oz bottle, best by: December 28 09.
A nice brown bottle pilsener, the way it should be. Pours into my Veltins glass with a very deep yellow/gold. Beautiful bubblage, and a nice mountainous white head. Leaves a lot of lacing.
Scent is textbook pils, the nice hop aroma is finely balanced with the bread-crusty malts.
It is a lot heavier on the mouthfeel than most pils and has an abundance of malts in the flavor. The hops are very earthy with a slight kiss of bitterness at the end. Not bad and a steal for the price point.
This is a solid pils and at the price you can’t really go wrong with a German beer, the ultimate party pilsener, make your self look good with a case or two of rare German pils at your next party.

Draft@Germany. Golden beer with a light head. The aroma is lightly hopped, and the flavour is lightly but plainly dry. Overall an average plain German pilsner.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a blond medium-sized foamy head. Sweaty and grassy hoppy nose with a slightly perfumed malty background. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft if not flat carbonation. Doughy and slightly perfumed malty base with skunky and slightly grassy hops; slightly sticky malty and grassy, again sweaty hoppy finish. A drain pour; because (or despite) its own character even worse than Warsteiner. 17.X.10
