2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 7/20
Serving: from tap.
Aroma: lightly grassy, hoppy.
Appearance: large, frothy, white, initial head with fair lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Clear, light-yellow body.
Taste: lightly sour, initial flavor and lightly sour/bitter finish with short duration.
Palate: light body, watery texture and lively carbonation.
Overall: I’ve tried Licher from the tap and from the bottle many times, and it is consistantly one of the worst tasting beers I’ve ever had. It’s drinkable but not refreshing. Appearance and aroma are also below average.

(Licher Pilsner Premium) Bottle 500 ml at home, served into a footed pilsner glass, ABV 4.9%
Pale golden yellow colour on the body, with lazy activity in it. Small white head, with good density, leaving light lacing on the glass.
Good aroma, grass, light floral notes, smells fresh.
Taste also of grass, some malts, light straw, nothing offensive here, it drinks nicely.
Medium thin body, biting carbonation.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottled, 500ml at Restaurant Ballesj, Rudenheim am Rhein, Hesse. Pale gold with fizzed white head. Thin, malty light beer, perhaps a hint of herby hop but very understated. Best thing was that it was wet on a hot day otherwise totally forgetful.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Flasche (50 cl) aus einem Getränkemarkt in Kassel. - Strohgelb, blank.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
(Keg at InterTank, Berlin, 20140421) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass and sweetness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, grass, malts, fruitiness and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and bitter. A clean and sweet pils that was easy to drink but offered nothing worth remembering.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught @ Frankfurt Airport. Pours golden and clear with good head, which leaves a thick layer on the top of the beer. Aroma is very grainy, with some hay, butter and citrus. Smells extremely fresh. Taste is very citrusy and grainy. Some hay is also present. Palate is quite bitter, dry and fresh, as good pilsner should be. Extremely fresh pils, which could be a little more bitter. Very straight-forward beer.
