To me, the aroma was very light, very wheaty, with just a touch of sweet in the nose. Nice, hazy light golden in color with a fluffy, frothy, creamy white head. Was thinking it was going to be sour and hoppy, but it wasn’t. It was like drinking a cloud. Soft and easy to drink, glides right down your throat, leaving the smallest and very delightful, hint of sour behind. At the forefront was a bit of sweet to mingle with the wheatiness and the malt and the citrus. All in all, a new favorite. Not up there with Aventinus or Coop’s DNR, but way better than Icehouse and such.

Bottle, 0.50l. Cloudy golden color with medium soapy white head and sparkling appearance. Aroma of cereals, banana, herbs and yeast. Taste starts light sweet and sour grainy, following is grassy and citric, mouthfeel is dry and spicy, while finish is mild bitter. Light to medium body, slick texture and lively carbonation in palate. Refreshing beer, but nothing special about it...

Pours hazy golden body with medium sized, frothy white head. Refreshing smell, herbal and fruity. Medium body, soft carbonation. Texture is smooth and thick. Tastes like your usual hefe, mostly on the sweet side with slight sour notes to it. Classic aroma of wheat, yeast, cloves, herbs, banana. Slightly peppeey. Light bitterness on the tongue during the finish. Overall, refreshing and tasty. Classic example of the style.

Bottle 500 ml. Well chilled in the fridge. Poured into a small beer glass. Tall white head but a bit spongy. After a minute the head is small but more solid now. Color is turbid honey.Thinnest threads of bubbles going up. Looks real nice. Aroma of white plums and unripe cherry plum.Taste of buns from the baker’s. Light-bodied, well balanced. Short finish.

Panzerfaust (790) - Hanga Roa, Easter Island, CHILE - MAY 25, 2016
500ml bottle from Jumbo Costanera Center. Pours a cloudy light orange-yellow color with a huge white fluffy head that shows medium retention and leaves a nice cap. Aroma is estery and spicy with strong banana character. Notes of banana, lemon zest, pepper, dough, bread, grains and some cake. Good. Taste is sweet-ish with some neutral bready flavors spiced up and a tiny of tartness towards the end. Main flavors are the doughy, grainy ones but with a slight touch of fruit and spices. Not bad but slightly unrefined. Body is light to medium, high carbonation. Very refreshing and drinkable in high quantities. Overall a pretty good Hefe-Weizen only lacking in more flavor integration.

Keg. Several times, last one May 2016.
In short: average hefeweizen.
Pours murky golden with frothy white head. Moderate head retention, some lacing. Little banana and clove, nose, along with bready notes. Medium body, average to high carbonation, crispy texture. Taste is rather sweet, fruity. Quite average german wheat. Nothing remarkable.

hauxe (415) - Butzbach, GERMANY - MAY 21, 2016
Pours light orange from the bottle with a creamy head. Quite attractive. Aroma is yeasty, but more new plastic than the traditional banana. Medium bodied, decent carbonation. The bread and wheat malt tastes form a solid foundation but the beer fails to grow beyond them. Sour with a citric note that lasts for the duration. Little to hold the interest. Okay in a pinch.

Pours a hazy orange color, topped with a medium small and very creamy white head. Wheaty nose with quite noticeable spices. Very intense, but also slightly sweaty feel. Taste is mildly sweet with moderate spicy presence. Medium light body. Not a bad weizen, to be fair.
