50cl bottle poured into a weizen glass. Cloudy orange with a ton of fluffy white head. Nose is citrus, banana, yeast, walnut. Very complex smell. Tastes like banana nut bread. Medium finish of bananas. Very complex aroma and flavor. I want to try this one again when I am a more experienced taster. There’s a lot there that I can’t name. One of the more interesting brews I’ve tasted.

Pours cloudy amber with a white head. Aroma is heacy banana, clove and light wheat. Flavour is wheat, banana, heavy clove and light paper.

A cloudy golden red hue, bannany nose, fragrant spicy light mouth with cloves, bananas and a refreshing finish.

Couldy golden with a firm white head. Middle of the road weissbier aroma of white bread, banana and clove. Thin malty flavour with a bit of banana

Bottle @ Bierzwerg.de. Pours cloudy golden with a creamy full white head. Mild banana, wheat and grain. Not overly sweet and the banana is subdued. Medium bodied.OK

Nov 2009: My local German owned supermarket (an Aldi) had a few packs of this a couple of weeks ago, five 500ml bottles and the glass, had to get the pack. Never seen it before or since. Looked good, the normal cloudy, murky, dull yellow you’d expect from this style of beer. The lovely clean and bright white head set it’s looks off perfectly. Plenty of carbonisation, bubbles rising up through the brew could clearly be seen in the misty beer. Have to knock the smells though, no banana or vanilla esters, well not enough for me anyway. Wheat smell, more than the regular Hefe-Weizen aromas I prefer. Refreshing, crisp and dry taste, the wheat taking centre stage in the flavours, as it did in the aroma. Lacks a yeast presence and the aromas normally associated with this style, OK but not one I’d push other Hefe-Weizens over for. An ’also ran’ sort of beer.

Long Island, NY - 500 mL bottle poured a hazy golden color with lots of white cloud head that quickly dissipated leaving good lacing. The aroma was evident from the pour. There was banana, cloves and a hint of cinnamon and citrus. Taste was slightly sweet with aforementioned flavors. Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!
Das Weizen im Glas macht ebenfalls eine gute Figur. Schön trüb, gelb-orangene Farbe, herrliche Krone. Es riecht extrem stark nach Banane. Der Antrunk ist bananig, fruchtig säuerlich, und im Nachgeschmack schön ausgewogen säuerlich, aber nicht zu aufdringlich. Wirkt auf jeden Fall mal sehr erfrischend! Zudem ist es noch sehr süffig. Da hat die Licher Brauerei ein schönes Weizen gebraut.

Bottle @ Hotelroom, Kunshan. Pours slighty hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of wheat, yeast, sweet fruit. Taste is wheat, yeast, lemon and banana. Medium body, soft carbonation. 060112

Cloudy yellow/gold color; Medium creamy body; Aroma of wheat, some yeast, bananas, & some clove; Flavor of wheat, yeast, bananas, light clove, and some citrus; Overall, typical but decent hefeweizen.

5.4% cloudy with a good but fading head, smells like and tastes like a good German Hefe Weizen and therefore is.
